17.00 Small lake – songs and
poetry of Juhan Viiding Performed by a singer Jaagup
Kreem and a member of European Parliament Mr Indrek Tarand. Taavi Jaagup Kreem said about his
uncle, that “his songs were sung in all possible places”, these were a part of
his childhood. Viiding’s humorous and heartly texts are very well known for the
most of Estonians. Last year, a record was released with Viiding’s songs –
these songs will sound on the first concert of Leigo festival. 18.30 Small lake - Sergei
Manukjan & Avicenna
Legendary 80-90s pop-jazz band Avicenna with
leading vocal Sergei Manukjan. Avicennas‘ reunion after 18 years
is the most anticipated concert in jazz-scene this summer. 20.00 Big lake - Uno Loop and
Estonian Dream Bigband
Sunset concert will celebrate a jubilee – Estonias bossa nova grand old man Uno Loop,
who will celebrate his 80th (!) this year will sing is ever-so-fresh
melodies with bigband and beloved guests Heidy Tamme, Ott Lepland and Lenna Kuurma
22.00 Big Lake - Tõnis Mägi &
band Tõnis Mägi is one of the most
acclaimed singers and songwriters in Estonia, whose career stretches well over
40 years. It began already in 1966 in school bands! He is a songwriter who has written many iconic songs as well as
tunes everybody knows and love. He is the most wanted artist to perform in
Leigo. Tõnis Mägi appreciates the beauty and inspiration that nature offers in
leigo and in this night concert Tõnis Mägi sings his
creation as he sees it. Guests: daughter Lydia, Birgit Varjun and Chalice
